National Careers Week - NCW Ghana

We are really excited to commence a project dubbed 'National Careers Week Ghana' in partnership with National Careers Week UK, beginning with schools in Accra. The focus of National Careers Week Ghana (NCW GH) is to celebrate careers guidance and provide free resources on careers education in Ghana. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people leaving education. Careers Week encourages education providers to bring together students, local employers and advisers through careers events and activities. We also offer careers education training to schools to build their capacity in linking their curriculum to the world of work to make education purposeful for their students. EQN will also collaborate with local employers to provide information and advice on current careers, opportunities and pathways required.

Why Careers Education

“Evidence shows that good career guidance in school and college supports young people to develop an understanding of the world of work, and the self-development and career management skills they need to achieve positive employment destinations. These attributes contribute to positive national outcomes such as skills alignment, youth employment, productivity and social equity”.

About National Careers Week

NCW Ghana is a flagship project initiated by EQN Ghana Ltd in collaboration with NCW CIC in the UK.

We work with schools, employers, further and higher education institutions to:

- help young people make well-informed decisions about their next steps.

- help bridge the gap between education and industry by bringing the players together to engage, inspire and raise the aspirations of the youth.

What We Do

Young people in primary, junior and senior secondary school need a good and stable careers education and guidance to empower them in making informed decisions about their futures.  We use seasoned educationists, entrepreneurs and professionals to coach the students. Our programmes are delivered to:
-   raise young people's aspirations and achieve positive outcomes.
- achieve Gatsby Career Benchmarks.

We also offer training to empower schools to:
- understand how to link the curriculum to the world of work.
- raise outcomes and aspirations of their students.
- build careers education skills.
- network with other schools to share knowledge and ideas.
- progress towards the Gatsby Career Benchmarks.

Sponsorship/Partnership

We hope our project might be of interest to you as an opportunity to promote your services and products. Your involvement will help highlight the importance of careers education in schools and as an employer engaging in career services provision, you will be making a difference to young people’s lives and the economy.

The Gatsby Benchmarks
